It Is Always Dark Before The Sunrise!

But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the

tomb. Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?" Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father." Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord!" - John 20:11-18

On this Sabbath day, I was just thinking of Hurricane Florence and how we feared the worst destruction that this storm could have brought. Darkness came, 150 mph winds and rains came. And yes, there was tremendous damage done and lives that were tragically lost. But as people have wept, just like Mary wept for Jesus, then the sun shines again. Through both situations, God the Father was always in control.

Just like God raised Jesus from the dead on that 3rd day, He can perform miracles in our own lives, changes circumstances where we felt so lost and hopeless. We must remember that God loves us, and has a great plan and purpose for our lives. If you are in the middle of a "dark time" or "storm", cry out to the Lord and share your hurt and pain with Him. He really does care! He is faithful and a great God!
